Doña of Vlogging … Plus Size Fashion … Lifestyle
Sarah Rae Vargas
@sarahhhrae
Sarah Rae is mah gurl! Like she don’t know it, but she is.
Since, ooooof, I think like 2015 ish, I’ve been watching her YouTube videos. She just makes you feel like you’re one of her friends, you know what I mean? And a HUGE part of her appeal to me was her comfort in her skin to show off her God given body and the beautiful clothes that were made for it. Just like any human though, she has her tough times and discomfort, BUT, it’s the way that she honestly moves through the trials. If she’s having a tough day, she’ll still record content. Not always, but she shares those parts of her life with us. The beautiful, uncomfortable, and what may feel like a mess to her, but is so relatable to me and many others.
She’s a self-made content lifestyle creator, mommy, book lover, plus size fashion sharer, God fearing, financially responsible, white passing (with all due respect) Latina.
Her videos help to get me going on particularly tough days, a huge reason for my shift in perspective to view my apple shaped body positively, AND a large reason for pursuing my love for writing.
And all I have to say is, thank you Sarah Rae❣️
Doña of Books
@tomesandtextiles Since i brought it up yesterday: There are so many Latinx immigration stories you can read instead of supporting American Dirt. Our immigration stories are not all the same and they are not all traumatic. #latinxbooks #latinxauthors #latinxbooktok #tomesandtextilea #everyoneknowsyougohome #americandirt #nataliasylvester #blessmeultima #rudolfoanaya #infinitecountry #patriciaengel #solito #javierzamora #childrenofheland #ibizoboi #immigrationstories #booktok #librotok #readlatinxbooks #tomesandtextiles ♬ original sound – azul
@tomesandtextiles – Booktokker
This Doña is fairly new to me. I discovered her on TikTok while researching reviews for Lobizona and The Last Cuentista.
Doña Carmen highlights Latinx and BIPOC books. She also offers very informative updated news on challenging literary issues such as book banning and raising awareness on reoccurring discrimination from publishing corporations who gatekeep our budget from marginalized authors. Thankfully, we have this Doña as an ally, continuing to influence the progression of Latinx authors and books in our community.
Thanks to Doña Carmen, my TBR list is full of Latinx books to read.
Doña of Musica Latina
La Doña
@ladona415
La Doña came up in a search as I was looking for music about Doñas, so I mean obvio I watched her music videos on YouTube and added her to the Spotify playlists right quick.
As a San Francisco native, she’s a multi-talented musician who reps hard for her hood. Her gorgeous look represents Chicana vibes from the 1940s to present day.
You can catch La Doña in the Friday, August 11th lineup at the Outside Lands festival in San Francisco.

Oooh Doña … if you haven’t heard of @yurilamasbella you must be sleeping! If you are a fan of pop culture whether you love the Kardashians or not, her account is dedicated to poking fun at the Kardashian’s life in the most hilarious way. Doña Yuri👏🏼La👏🏼Mas👏🏼Bella has a talent for her comedy with a serious face while hitting each Kardashian’s personality on the nose.
Doña of Vintage Glam Lifestyle
Stephanie Padilla – Lifestyle @myblissfulhome
There’s something about a vintage glam house with white marble, gold fixtures, and a pot of frijoles de la olla cooking in the pink cookware. Not that there’s anything wrong with a traditional style Latino home. But just like everyone else in the world, Latinos like to switch things up and even combine styles as well. And I completely fell in love with Doña Stephanie’s style.
@myblissfulhome has this tranquil way of cooking traditional Mexican recipes and cleaning up after that makes it impossible to not appreciate. And also start an Amazon wish list that matches the style of her house 😍.
@myblissfulhome Spend the afternoon with me 🫶🏻 During the weekdays it’s always so busy around here. I have 4 kids and 3 of them are homeschooled 🫶🏻 Today my boys asked me to make them naan 🫓 & chicken for lunch and I did just that! Have you ever made naan bread? Naan bread recipe 4 cups of flour 1 cup of yogurt 2 cups of warm water 1 teaspoon of yeast 1 tablespoon of salt 1/4 cup of olive oil. @rebysky
Rebecca Victoria Reyes, AKA Reby Sky in the Wrestling world, and NKA Reby Hardy is literally all things Gothic. She even has a TikTok series about her “Gothic Baby”.
Let’s back up a little here. Doña Reby is of Puerto Rican descent with family roots in wrestling. She also has acting and modeling to add under her belt.
At the end of the day though, she goes home to her Gothic dwelling; which is, if I’m being honest, even extreme for my liking. But that doesn’t matter now does it? Because it is her life, and she has created an environment of what makes her happy and that’s all that really matters.
Gotica has a pretty strong presence in the Latino community, reminiscent of the folk art of sugar skulls and Dia de los Muertos, often with a bit of a darker twist, yet still grounded in its folk roots.
I’m just glad Reby has such a social media presence to share all of her gothic treasures, even if I have to skip on a few 😏.
Doña of 40+ Makeup Tips
Sonia Valencia
@soniavalencia0303
“Biiiii@#%” … Doña Sonia is the self-proclaimed “over 40 OG beauty/skin queen”🫰🏼, yes she is. If she doesn’t start her videos with “Biiiii@#%”, she sure as 💩 will drop it somewhere in the video. But this isn’t why we’re here.
You have to see her skin. It is gorgeous. Without filter. And she gives you all of the tips. Especially encouraging you to just wash your face and take care of your skin. So, she’s obviously doing something right and my over 40 skin is here for all of it, “Biiiii@#%”! 😇

Big shift here … for all of the reasons. Last in the list but first in my life is my walk with God. It is wonderful to see a beautiful Doña out there speaking words of love and peace in a world of hate.
With 83.8K TikTok followers, Doña Cassie is lifting Latinas up not only with her beauty but by using her “sis” influence to encourage us all to not only be confident in ourselves, but to be “godfident”. Bless up!
